3/13/20 Project Update

SECON and the DOT&PF will be performing electrical work on the 10th Street traffic signal at the Juneau-Douglas Bridge on Monday, March 16. This work will be performed at night from 8pm – 6am. Access to Douglas from the bridge will be restricted twice for approximately 20 minutes each time during this work. This work is weather dependent and could extend to the evening of Tuesday, March 17. The following are the anticipated closures for this work:

•  Right-turn pocket lane from inbound Egan onto the bridge
• 10th Street straight-through lane onto the bridge
• Left-turn lane from outbound Egan onto the bridge
• Right-turn pocket lane from Bridge to inbound Egan
• Pedestrian access will be detoured under the bridge. Please follow designated detour routes.

Pilot cars and drums will be in place to restrict traffic patterns. Once the work has been completed, pilot cars will release motorists to normal traffic patterns and drums will be removed.

The safety of the traveling public and our workers is our main concern. 
Please follow designated traffic revisions, posted pedestrian routes, and never enter a work zone.
